Where the risks lie

The incident types

K1AI as an attack tool
Voice cloning, deepfake video calls and AI phishing aimed at your company. A typical case is the supposed call from senior management asking for an urgent transfer.
K2Your own AI in customer contact
The chatbot makes promises, quotes wrong prices or makes inadmissible statements. The company is liable for what it says.
K3Faulty output
Invented citations in court filings, expert opinions and reports. Courts respond with reprimands, cost orders and cancelled fees.
K4Data leakage
Confidential information ends up in public AI tools or in openly accessible AI instances.
K5Agents cause damage
Autonomous AI agents delete data, trigger actions or flood systems with content.
K6Dependence on the provider
An outage, account suspension, discontinuation or price change of an AI service brings processes to a halt.
K7Attacks on your AI
Prompt injection, jailbreaking the company bot or misused API keys.
K8Legal consequences of AI use
Fines, injunctions or proceedings by the data protection authority, for example over AI training with customer data.
What it costs

The consequences

F1Financial loss
Transfers to fraudsters, refunds to customers, additional costs.
F2Business interruption
A process or service is down and customers are not served.
F3Legal consequence
Judgment, fine, reprimand, settlement or cease-and-desist letter.
F4Confidentiality
Trade secrets, customer data or source code get out.
F5Reputation
Public criticism, media coverage, lost customers.
F6Third-party damage
Customers or clients share the damage and the company is liable for it.
F7Extra effort
Cleaning up, restoring, investigating, changing processes.
F8Prevented
The attack was detected, the payment stopped. We record this too because it shows what works.
